Our bulletin around Westwinds is called "The Draft." On Easter, we printed The Draft on plantable paper.
Lotka paper is made from the bark of the Daphne bush which regenerates naturally, providing a renewable resource. In buying this paper, we gave to the economic enterprise of rural craftspeople in Nepal. Each piece of paper produces a bloom of red and white flowers containing Coreopsis and Sweet Alyssum.
The paper can be planted directly into the soil in a pot or in a garden. It grows into flowers in about 4-6 weeks.
